I
have the opportunity to bring beauty, emotion, hope and optimism into this
world through art. Although most of my art is abstract there is certain emotion
and passion that I am able to bring forward. People relate my work, they are
able to see something from their own lives and experiences.
The unique vantage point of abstract
painting is that it can be seen in so many different ways. Often people look at
my work and they see happiness, playfulness and movement. The keen sense of
color initially attracts collectors to my art. On further inspection it is really
about color, emotion, dimension, movement and the beauty of a line.
I express myself through creating art, with the
point of view of a strong, powerful woman with great ambitions. I am someone that will work hard for
what I want, but will also work with others through collaboration to achieve
their goals as well.
For the most part my paintings are a reflection
of how I see life around me. I am a people watcher. I look at life as
inspiration and convey those observations through my work. I believe that my art is a reflection
of my life’s experience including what is yet to be revealed. I am opened to
possibility, without any preconceived ideas to limit my point of view or my
opportunities.
I am attracted to a color palette that is both
warm and vibrant. The use of these colors evokes a boldness and playfulness.
Layering of color and other elements in my work creates depth. Through these forms of visual
communication others are brought on an adventure into my own personal world.
Each painting is a representation of my thoughts,
emotions and my travels. I often listen to different types of music as a source
of inspiration. For me, both art and music are abstract and beautiful ways of
expression. I also use music as a source of energy that can change with every
brushstroke and beat.
What I enjoy deeply is the reaction to the
artwork .The collector’s response and non-verbal understanding is a powerful
driving force. It is the full circle of relatedness and expression of my work
the drives me to create more. It is through storytelling on canvas that people
can connect to my work and see their own emotions, adventures and dreams.
